2012 FIAT 500 by GUCCI debuting at New York’s fashion week

500 by Gucci

Safford Fiat of Fredericksburg announces, in celebration of GUCCI’s 90th Anniversary, FIAT USA has partnered with the world-renowned Italian designer to create a limited edition GUCCI inspired FIAT 500. The FIAT 500 GUCCI Limited Edition will be available in both models: hatchback and cabrio.  With an estimated arrival date at Safford Fiat of Fredericksburg of December 2011, the 2012 FIAT 500 GUCCI Limited Edition vehicle will be launched during one of the United State’s most prestigious events: New York and LA Fashion Week starting September 8, 2011. This Limited Edition vehicle represents true Italian craftsmanship and style.

The FIAT 500 and 500 Cabrio have been designed by Gucci creator Frida Giannini in partnership with Fiat’s Centro Stile.

“When the Fiat 500 first hit the road in the 1950s, it created a style revolution,” said Gucci Creative Director Frida Gianinni in a statement. “Gucci’s history has always been about traveling in style so when this collaboration came up, it struck me as the perfect opportunity to create a new modern travel statement.”

Two color schemes are available: black with bright chrome details, and white with satin-finish.  Chrome cursive “Gucci” signatures complete the door frames and hatchback, complementing the satin-chrome exterior accents, such as mirrors, door handles and hood spear, which are highlighted in signature diamond black or diamond white glossy pearl-glass paint. Adding to the vehicle’s sculpted fenders are uniquely designed, retro-inspired 15-inch aluminum wheels with interlocking “GG” hubcaps and brake pads, which have been lacquered in signature Gucci green.

2012 Gucci FIAT 500c Interior

The interior space of the Fiat 500 by Gucci is stylish, yet functional, down to every last detail: the black leather seats with white “Guccissima” inserts bisected by the Gucci stripe, which also appears on the seat belts, shifter, key fob, and carpets. In addition, you’ll find chic embroidery, exclusive materials, glossy and satin chromes, and the velvety varnish on the “radioboard.” Premium leather accents are also found on the interior door panels and on the hand-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel, finished in a two-tone ivory and white combination.

And if that’s not enough, customers may further stuff the interior with a full line of “500 by Gucci” travel accessories, as well as a suitcase full of other goods, including track suits, driving gloves, bomber jackets, sunglasses, and, of course, a watch.
